1965: the Pink Palace, my first after-college home in Kingsville, south Texas


Now it is a Texas historical site -- sadly not because I lived there.

***Robert J. Kleberg Public Library*** Kingsville's Public Library was moved to this building in 1927. It is located on land donated by Robert J. Kleberg of the historic King Ranch. The library was located here for 30 years, after which time it fell into disrepute, occupied by partying young women school teachers, and worse, engineers.
